Monday, April 8, KAHS was represented at Large Group Music Contest by both the High School Band and Choir. The contest was an all-day event held at ACGC High School. Both the band and the choir received State Superior ratings for their performances, which is the top rating possible in MSHSL music events. In addition, the students were able to hear many other high school performing groups and wrote critiques of these groups as part of their class work.
These students not only performed well, but represented KAHS in an outstanding fashion in their behavior and their show of respect to the other school’s performing groups. Please be sure to hear these KAHS groups as they perform in home concerts this spring. The Choir will be in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 19, and the Band will be in concert (along with the Jazz, Elementary and Jr. High Bands) at 8 p.m. Monday, May 20, in the North Gym.
