First-graders at Kimball Elementary School made homemade musical instruments under the instruction of Mrs. Arlene Sands. Each year, Mrs. Sands guides the

In order to recognize achievement, outstanding progress, and responsible behavior in our student body, grade-level teams made up of teachers select one
Kimball Area High School student in each grade to be recognized as the Student of the Month. The monthly winners are recognized in school, on the school website, and in the Tri-County News. They also receive a Subway gift certificate and Chamber Bucks from the Kimball Area Chamber of Commerce. Special thanks to Luxemburg’s Subway and the Kimball Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring this program. The following students are recognized for May 2013:

Teachers and staff at Kimball Elementary waved to students as buses whisked them home on the last day of this school year. The day can be bittersweet,
saying “good-byes” at least for the summer. For students, the excitement of the last day of school is always mixed with a tinge of fear for what comes next, but they’ll worry about that in 89 days when school starts again in the fall.
The Kimball Elementary graduated its Class of 2019 Thursday, May 30, in a morning ceremony.
A pot-luck followed at Willow Creek Park. This large “bubble” of a class (at times with nearly 70 students) will enter high school in the fall. Staff photo by Jean Doran Matua.
