The Kimball Area High School Class of 1994 will celebrate a 20-year reunion starting at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Triple R Grill & Bar for social hour and dinner.

Gun safety training, July 13 in Kimball

Firearm safety sign up and first class will be starting Sunday,
July 13, at the Kimball Rod and Gun Club from 5-9 p.m. and will be held on every Sunday until
July 27, with Field day Saturday, Aug. 2. Must be able to attend field day to complete class. Ages 12 and up. Birth Certificate is needed at registration.

You will need your firearms safety certificate if you choose to participate in the New High School Trap Shoot Team.

Kimball Class of 1984 Class Reunion

The Kimball Class of 1984 is planning a 30-year class reunion Saturday, Aug. 16, at Millner Heritage Winery, 35025 MN Hwy. 15, Kimball, MN 55353.

Social Hour starts at 3:30 p.m. Dinner to follow at 5 p.m.

Personnel issues top school board agenda in Kimball

A number of personnel issues were on the agenda for the June 18 Kimball School Board meeting. Some were routine and expected; others were not.

The board unanimously renewed a two-year contract with secondary principal Erik Widvey, with a one-percent pay increase each year. They approved hiring Kathy Ahlrich as full-time elementary secretary as of July 1. They approved Jeannette Dammann (wife of Kimball alum Scott Dammann) as secondary science instructor (replacing Kim Pelzer); she has a Master’s degree. The board approved hiring Timothy Rahkola as instrumental music instructor; he is originally from Esko and has taught in Pierre, S.D. Andria Kelley was approved as an ECFE/preschool teacher. And Whitney Gettler was approved as a kindergarten teacher.
