Hilltop Health Care Center residents and the Kimball Elementary School’s fifth-grade class have been meeting for approximately 15 years for an intergenerational program. Kimball Speechers had a good Saturday, April 13. With a narrow window of good (although not quite springy) weather, the Section 5A tournament went off with nary a hitch. And for Kimball speechers, it went … well, GREAT!
To begin with, the team placed third out of 20 competing teams, only 2 points out of a runner-up trophy, which Sauk Centre took home. This is the highest sections placing Kimball has had in many years. St. Cloud Cathedral are the 2013 5A Section Champions. Team points at sections are counted only for those competing in finals.
