Monday, Dec. 9, kicked off the Holiday season with their choir and band concert at the Kimball Area High School.
Thursday, Dec. 12, grades K-3 will perform; second- and third-graders will do “The Littlest Reindeer”. The program will begin at
7 p.m. in the elementary gym.
Monday, Dec. 16, grades 4-6 will present “Santa’s Frosty Follies”. The program includes singing, dancing and costumes, and will begin at 7 p.m. in the elementary gym.
Friday, Dec. 13, stop by Harvest Bank at 1 p.m. to hear a group of Arlene Sands’ senior high choir students singing Holiday favorites.
All the concerts are free, and will certainly put you in the Holiday spirit.
In order to recognize achievement, outstanding progress, and responsible behavior in our student body, grade-level teams made up of teachers select one Kimball Area High School student in each grade to be recognized as the Student of the Month. The monthly winners are recognized in school, on the school website, and in the Tri-County News. They also receive a Dairy Queen gift certificate and Chamber Bucks from the Kimball Area Chamber of Commerce. Hannah Zipoy, daughter of Tim and Sue Zipoy of Kimball, was inducted into the Bethel University Honors Program for the 2013-2014 school year. Bethel’s Honors Program is a broad-based, liberal arts program that combines four all-honors classes, individual work with professors in two additional courses, and an ongoing program of social events, cultural activities, speakers, and forum presentations. Students must commit to two honors courses their freshman year and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.3, rising to 3.4 by the end of their sophomore year.
