A very special Little Falls Girl Scout troup is delivering 4,000-5,000 items to The St. Cloud Area Salvation Army in St. Cloud at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 1. The items which fill a van and an SUV include clothes, books, food, diapers, toiletries, quilts, blankets, shoes, toilet paper and paper towels.
In November 2012, the girls led by Tammy Philippi visited the Corp building in St. Cloud for a tour of the Army’s programs, services and 64-bed Emergency Shelter. They were so touched by what they experienced, they decided to take on a huge project over several months to collect items that are greatly needed at the Shelter.

ASSE International Student Exchange Programs, in cooperation with the local high school, is looking for local families to host boys and girls between the ages of 15 and 18, from a variety of countries; Norway, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Japan, to name a few.
ASSE students come with an enthusiasm to practice their English and experience American culture – food, sports, shopping and more. They also love to share their own culture with their host families. Host families welcome these students into their family, not as a guest, but as a family member, giving both the students and families a rich cultural experience.
