CITY OF WATKINS
MEEKER COUNTY, MINNESOTA
ORDINANCE #2013-1
WHEREAS, the City of Watkins has a current Zoning Ordinance in effect; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Watkins Planning Commission on January 16, 2013 at 7:05 p.m. to hear public testimony on amending the current Watkins Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Watkins Planning Commission has adopted Resolution #1-2013, Resolution Recommending an Amendment to the Watkins Zoning Ordinance;
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED: Upon recommendation of the Watkins Planning Commission through Resolution #1-2013, the Watkins City Council does hereby amend the Watkins Zoning Ordinance as follows:
Important information
about your drinking water
Total Chlorine Residual
Monitoring Requirements not met
The City of Watkins water supply is required by Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4720, to regularly test and report total chlorine residual levels. This required sampling/reporting was not done for the quarter October 1 through December 31, 2012. Because we did not monitor during the compliance period, we did not know the levels of Total Chlorine present in your drinking water, and we are unable to tell you whether your health was at risk during that time.
A sample taken since this violation shows that the sample collected 1-14-2013 met acceptable limits.
What does this mean to me?
This is not an emergency. You do not need to boil water or use an alternative source of water at this time.
If you have any questions or comments about this violation, please call City Hall at (320)
764-6400.
