By Stephanie Johnson, writer The Lady Eagles’ basketball team was looking for a win, but lost their game against the Litchfield Dragons 32-50 Tuesday, Dec. 4, in Litchfield. Junior Dani Nelson #41 led the team in scoring with 11 points and two steals. Senior Courtney Dilley #23 contributed 8 points to the total score, and had a steal. The Lady Eagles had 7 offensive rebounds, 13 defensive rebounds, 8 assists, 2 blocks, and 15 steals. Their next game is at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at the ACGC High School in Grove City. Teams that attended the tournament, listed with the team scores, were: Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 265.5, Osakis 182.0, Sartell-St. Stephen 179.0, Montevideo 133.5, Sauk Centre-Melrose 133.0, ROCORI 100.0, JV All-Stars 98.0, Eden Valley-Watkins 90.0, Rockford 77.0, Staples-Motley 58.0, Ortonville 29.0. Fellow sophomore Jared Streit (#33) assisted in the Eagles victory with 14 points. Senior Brent Stenger (#3) has 11 points, three assists, and four steals. By Julie Bulau, Staff writer EV-W seniors Kaylee Forcier and Holly Schumacher were recently named to Central Minnesota All-Conference team. Forcier was also recently honorable mention on the St. Cloud Times all-area team. Other team awards were also handed out. They included: • MVP-Holly Schumacher • Offensive Player of the Year-Kaylee Forcier • Defensive Player of the Year-Baylee Lahr • Hustle Award-Kaylee Forcier • Serving Award-Clarissa Roy • Eagle Pride Award-Mickael Lies-Thielen • Most Improved-Courtney Dilley The Eagles volleyball team finished the year with a record of 16-10.
