EV-W athletes on All Academic CMC Team

Fifteen EV-W athletes lettered and maintained an accumulated 3.7 GPA or better during their fall sports season to qualify for the CMC All Academic Team. Those acheiving this award were:

Football-Zach Blonigen, Thomas Wuertz, Logan Linn, and Travis Thielen.

Volleyball-Kaylee Forcier, Kayla Kuechle, Mickael Lies Thielen, Erica McCann, and Brittany Hesse.

Cross Country-Maria Roeser, Stephanea Roeser, Katie Gaslin, Hannah Holmberg, Sonora Mattice, and Matthew Notch.

EV-W Lady Eagles extend winning streak

Saturday night at the Eden Valley-Watkins gymnasium, local fans witnessed the 12th straight win for the Lady Eagles, as they easily handled the Rocori Spartans, 53-38.

EV-W Lady Eagles rout Huskers

The Eden Valley-Watkins Lady Eagles protected the nest Tuesday night, Jan. 15, at Holdingford, as they thumped the Huskers, 56-32. Coach Tom Jansen thought the girls started out a bit slow, but picked it up in the second half.

EV-W girls’ basketball a real pain for Paynesville

Coming off the heels of an impressive victory over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, the Eden Valley-Watkins Lady Eagles kept it rolling Tuesday night, Jan. 8, in the friendly confines, coasting to a commanding 62-38 victory over the Paynesville Area Bulldogs. Coach Tom Jansen summed it up. “We played pretty well defensively, making Paynesville play faster than they wanted to, which caused them some offensive difficulties.” Coach Jansen was more than pleased with the team effort.
