I looked upon the cloth of life a thing of beauty to behold,
My eye was caught by the shimmering light of a Thread of solid gold.
This Thread had strength and courage and many things uncommonly seen,
It stood out as a Thread of greatness upon the Master's skein.
The Master used this Thread in places that needed an uplifting touch,

Edward C. Haus of Pearl Lake (Marty) died unexpectedly Saturday, May 18, 2013, at his home of natural causes. He was 47.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pearl Lake (Marty). Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Margie Pauls died Thursday, May 16, 2013. She was 82.
Church services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Richmond with Father Stephen Beauclair officiating. Burial will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery in St. Nicholas.

James Schreifels of Pearl Lake/Kimball died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at his home with family by his side, after a year-long 
battle with kidney cancer. He was 50.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph with Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB officiating. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Friday, May 19, and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Parish prayers will be at 4 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
