Blanche Orth of Pearl Lake died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Lakeview Gardens in Kimball, after courageously battling cancer four
times. She was 91.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Thursday, April 4, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marty/Pearl Lake with Rev. Mark Ostendorf and Rev. Ralph Zimmerman as con-celebrants. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Lola Heinrichs of Litchfield, formerly of Watkins, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. She was 97.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins with Fr. John
Brunner and Fr. Richard Gross officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Inurnment will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
Ella Leanhart of Clearwater died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at her home. She was 87.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fair Haven with Rev. Timothy Nerud officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.
Loretta Brutger of Watkins died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. She was 93.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins with Fr. John Brunner and Fr. Richard Gross officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins. Watkins Senior Citizens will pray the Rosary at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. and Wat-Kim-Valley VFW Post 5460 prayers at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be in the St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery in St. Nicholas.
Lester Buckman of Robbinsdale died Monday, March 18, 2013, at his home. He was 77.
Funeral services were held Saturday, march 23, at the Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel in Crystal. Interment was in the Marysville Swedesberg Lutheran Church Cemetery, Wright County, Minn.
Lester Clair Buckman was born Aug. 5, 1935, at North Kingston, Meeker County Minn., the only child of Clarence and Isabelle (Hess) Buckman. After high school, he graduated from Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis and worked for 32 years for Sears in Minneapolis in small engine repair and maintenance.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Alexander and Emma (Anderson) Hess; his parents Clarence “Sam” and Isabelle Mathilda “Tillie” Buckman; and wife Dorothy.
He is survived by daughters Bonnie (and Dan)Knutson of Woodstock, Ga., Colleen (and Doug Howard) Caron of Coon Rapids; stepsons Rod (and Pat) Reeve, and Scott (and Deb) Reeve; grandchildren Justin, Annie, Dani, Joshua, Tyler, Emma, Isabella, Owen, and Tristan; and one great-grandchild Gillian; as well as many relatives and friends.
