The Chain O’Lakes Association has contracted to treat Curly Leaf Pondweed, an Aquatic Invasive Species in Louisa and Marie Lakes in 2013.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has granted to The Chain O’ Lakes Association a waiver of the requirement that the association obtain the signatures of approval of owners of lake-shore property. Instead, The Chain O’ Lakes Association will notify property owners of the treatment through alternate forms. Notice of Application For a Livestock Feedlot Permit
Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Janski Farms Partnership operated by Richard, Marlys, Thomas, and Daniel Janski of South Haven, Minn., are applying to expand their feedlot operation with a capacity of 500 animal units or more and applying for a permit for the following; 1) An existing 104’ x 186’ total confinement barn with an existing 4640 sq. ft. stacking slab, 2) An existing 50’ x 120’ total confinement barn, 3) An existing 56’ x 86’ total confinement holding area, 4) A proposed 50’x120’ total confinement barn, 5) An existing 48’x100’ confinement barn 6) An existing 40’ x 40’ total confinement barn, 7) An existing 40’ x 115’ partial confinement barn, 8) An existing 30’ x 75’ partial confinement barn with an existing 6240 sq. ft. feedlot, 9) An existing 26’ x 56’ partial confinement barn with an existing 5055 sq. ft. feedlot that will be replaced if barn no. 4 is constructed. 10) A proposed 60’ x 250’ total confinement barn. 11) A proposed 10’x120’ open feedlot area. The feedlot is proposed to increase Animal Unit (AU) from 266 mature dairy cows over 1000 lbs, 117 heifers, 60 calves for a total of 466.3 animal units to 310 mature dairy cows, 150 heifers, 135 calves, 90 slaughter steers, 110 feeder cattle, 60 calves for a total of 745 animal units. The property under consideration is located in T122N, R28W, Sec. 3, of Fair Haven Township in Stearns County, Minnesota.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
