NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS –Sealed bids will be received until 10:00 A.M., May 23, 2013, by the Meeker County Highway Department, at 422 South Johnson Drive, Litchfield, MN 55355. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the aforementioned place and time for the furnishing of all labor and materials for the bituminous paving of Township projects 110-335-13 and 110-650-13 approximately 2 miles in Meeker County.
Major work includes: AGGREGATE BASE, BITUMINOUS SURFACING AND SHOULDERING. Major estimated construction quantities are as follows:
2,905 Ton Aggregate Base
3,466 Ton Type SP Bituminous Surfacing

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Appeal and Equalization for Forest Prairie Township shall meet on Thursday, April 18th, 7:00-7:30 p.m., Watkins City Hall. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and to determine whether corrections need to be made.

Annual Town Meeting, Election
Notice is hereby given that the Annual Town Meeting and Election of the Town of Forest Prairie, in the County of Meeker, State of Minnesota, will be held on March 12, 2013, at Watkins City Hall.
The Election Polls will open at 5:00 p.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. to elect the following town officers:
One Supervisor - Richard Streit
One Treasurer - Rosella Nistler
The Annual Meeting will commence at 8:15 p.m. to conduct all necessary town business as prescribed by law. If inclement weather should occur on the above scheduled date, the Annual Meeting and Election will be held on the third Tuesday in March at the above scheduled times.
