The Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation will divide $1 million among non-profit hunger-fighting agencies nationwide using it as a spur to help them raise funds in March and April.
“The more cash, checks, food items and pledges we receive from March 1 to April 30, the more of the Feinstein challenge money we will receive,” Major Lee Morrison,
St. Cloud, said.
“Donations can also be dropped off at The Salvation Army on highway 10 or made on-line at www.salvationarmynorth.org/stcloud.” Morrison said.
For the past 15 years, Alan Shawn Feinstein, has been giving away $1 million each year to anti-hunger agencies throughout the country.
“Whatever you donate to this agency, I will add money to it. The more you give, the more of my $1 million they’ll get … thanks to you!” Fienstein said.
Designated donations can also be mailed to the Salvation Army at 400 Highway 10 So, St. Cloud, MN 56304. “There is even a Red Kettle in the lobby of the St. Cloud Times if anyone prefers to drop it there.” Morrison said.
Checks should be made out to: St. Cloud Salvation Army – food drive.
Last year the St. Cloud Salvation Army distributed more than 240 tons of food and served more than 50,000 meals to homeless and hungry people in our community.
“What we are able to accomplish only happens because of the excellent support we receive from the residents of St. Cloud and the surrounding communities.” Morrison said.
