CMC indoor track meet kicks off new season

Spring has sprung and area schools got together in the season’s first boys’ and girls’ indoor track meet Friday, March 22, at the St. Cloud

State Field House. Following are the results:

Girls’ 55-meter dash: Miranda Albert placed 7th with 8.80, Holly Loch 8th with 8.81, Amanda McCann 14th, and Amanda Trout 21st. Jenny Puncochar of Maple Lake took 1st with 8.06.

Boys’ 55-meter dash: DeShaun James took 5th with 7.40, Tyler Heiss took 19th. Tyler Millner of Pierz took 1st with 7.11.

Girls’ 200-meter dash: Malina Röettgermann placed 3rd with 29.93, Amanda McCann placed 6th with 32.75, and Hannah Ehlinger placed 17th with 35.74. First place went to Arianna Vasilj of Holdingford, with 29.43.

Boys’ 200-meter dash: De’Shaun James placed 3rd with 25.60, Tommy Lochen placed 6th with 26.20, and Pierz’s  Tyler Millner took 1st with 24.90.

Girls’ 400-meter dash: Malina Röettgermann placed 3rd with 1:09.80, Julia Stotz placed 11th with 1:17.50, Kenzie Leither placed 15th with 1:19.30. Summer Storm of Holdingford took 1st place with 1:08.00.

Boys’ 400-meter dash: Austin Pelkey of Eden Valley-Watkins took 1st place with 54.30, and Austin Marx placed 5th with 57.30.

Girls’ 800-meter run: Courtney Geislinger placed 7th with 2:54.10, Savanna Gohmann placed 9th with 3:00.20, Madeleine Geislinger placed 13th with 3:22.00, while Beth-el Argarin of Pierz took 1st place with 2:44.50.

Boys’ 800-meter run: Dean Stewart placed 7th with 2:30.10, Brandon Faber place 14th with 2:57.40, Chris Laam placed 15th with 2:57.90. Maple Lake’s Evan Hertwig took 1st place with 2:21.20.

Girls’ 1600-meter run: Emma Kuechle placed 12th with 7:52.00, Maria Roeser placed 13th with 8:03.40, Steph Roeser placed 14th with 8:04.40. Abigail Botten of Rockford took 1st place with 5:58.00.

Boys’ 1600-meter run: Dean Stewart placed 10th with 5:50.90, Blaine Tschida placed 11th with 5:52.50, Chris Laam placed 17th with 6:43.00, and Andrew Zachman of Holdingford took 1st place with 5:04.90.

Girls’ 3200-meter run: Holdingford’s Alli Ruprecht took 1st place with 12:39.00.

Boys’ 3200-meter run: Kirby Knutson placed 8th with 12:34.00, Shadly Callahan placed 9th with 13:44.00, Dawson Kelly placed 10th with 17:17.00, and Abraham Skwira of Holdingford placed 1st with 10:54.00.

Girls’ 55-meter hurdles: Tiffany Kuechle placed 2nd with 10.30, Abbey Straley placed 7th with 10.80, Emily Donnay placed 10th with 10.99, Erica McCann placed 12th with 11.80, and Maple Lake’s Courtney Pribyl took 1st place with 10.00.

Boys’ 55-meter hurdles: Connor Wittenberg of Eden Valley-Watkins took 1st place with 9.00.

Girls’ 4x100-meter relay: Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball placed 2nd with 57.50 and Maple Lake took 1st place with 54.90.

Boys’ 4x100-meter relay: Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball placed 4th with 50.80 and Maple Lake took 1st place with 47.60.

Girls’ 4x200-meter relay: Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball placed 3rd with 2:04.60 and Holdingford took 1st place with 2:01.50.

Boys’ 4x200-meter relay: Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball took 1st place with 1:40.60.

Girls’ 4x400-meter relay: Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball took 1st place with 4:32.80.

Boys’ 4x400-meter relay: Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball placed 3rd with 3:57.00, and Rockford took 1st place with 3:51.30.

Girls’ 4x800-meter relay: Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball placed 5th with 12:15.90, and Maple Lake took 1st place with 11:09.80.

Boys’ 4x800-meter relay: Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball placed 4th with 9:47.00, and Maple Lake took 1st place with 9:03.50.

Girls’ High Jump: Tiffany Kuechle placed 9th with 4-02.00, Julia Stotz tied for 10th place with 4-00.00, Emma Kuechle tied for 12th place with 3-10.00. Jordan Weeding of Rockford won the event with 5-00.00.

Boys’ High Jump: Eden Valley-Watkins’ Connor Wittenberg took 1st place with 6-00.00, Austin Marx tied for 5th place with 5-06.00, and Kirby Knutson tied for 10th place with 5-02.00.

Girls’ Long Jump: Holly Loch of Eden Valley-Watkins took 1st place with 14-07.00, Brittany Hesse placed 3rd with 14-00.00, and Emily Donnay placed 6th with 13-02.00.

Boys’ Long Jump: Austin Pelkey of Eden Valley-Watkins took 1st place with 19-07.00, and De’Shaun James placed 7th with 16-09.00.

Girls’ Triple Jump: Abbey Straley placed 3rd with 29-10.00, and Howard Lake’s Raechell Bayerl took 1st place with 30-04.00.

Boys’ Triple Jump: Grant Bullert of Holdingford took 1st place with 39-00.50.

Girls’ Shot Put: Raevon Willner placed 2nd with 29-04.00, Allie Seth placed 5th with 28-03.00, Lexi Streit placed 24th with 17-03.00, Ashley Kelly placed 25th with 16-02.50, and Jenny Puncochar of Maple Lake won the event with a toss of 31-01.50.

Boys’ Shot Put: Austyn Schlueter placed 2nd with 45-04.00, Adam Laabs placed 6th with 35-09.00, Tyler Smith placed 7th with 35-05.00, Jacob Leither placed 12th with 33-08.00, Matt Benson tied for 16th place with 31-09.00, and Isaac Kotila of Maple Lake won the event with a toss of 47-08.00.

Girls’ Pole Vault: Hannah Warzecha of Holdingford won the event with 7-00.00.

Boys’ Pole Vault: Tommy Lochen placed 3rd with 8-00.00, and Kyle Kolstad of Holdingford won the event with 12-00.00.

Senior captain Tiffany Kuechle is giving it her best on Friday night at SCSU in this sprint. Tiffany is an all-around trackster, she runs, high jumps and hurdles as well.
