Rockville car accident Jan. 13Sunday, Jan. 13 at about 5:19 p.m., the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury car accident on Highway 23 near Stearns County Road 140.

Dylan Van Ort, 18, of Cold Spring was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi westbound on Highway 23, when he tried to avoid hitting an animal in the roadway. Van Ort’s car was then hit by a 1999 Mazda, also westbound, driven by Allison Wolf, 28 also of Cold Spring. Wolf was taken by Gold Cross Ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries. Kimball Police There were a total of 22 calls for Fair Haven during December 2012. These included 6 equipment verbal warnings (with 1 citation), 5 speed warnings (and 2 citations), and one each of the following: agency assist, animal complaint, citizen contact, medical, minor consumption/possession warning, motorist assist, seat belt citation, stop sign complaint. 2 insurance violation citations, 2 medicals, 2 thefts, 2 welfare checks, and one each of the following: accident, animal complaint, careless/reckless driving warning, domestic citation (and 1 warning), drug/narcotic violation, DWI, noise complaint, open container, passing on right warning, public urination citation, stalled vehicle complaint, stop sign warning, suspicious vehicle/person complaint, tobacco violation citation. Watkins (Meeker Co. Sheriff) There were a total of 51 calls in Watkins during December 2012. Among them were 13 traffic stops (12 warnings, 1 citation), 8 snow ordinance violations, 4 public assists, 4 alarms,
3 unsafe conditions, 2 assist other agencies, 2 harassment/stalking, 2 medicals, and one each of: animal complaint, welfare check, child abuse/maltreatment, civil complaint, civil damage to property, custody, fight, illegal dumping, lost/found property, snowmobile complaint, stolen vehicle, suspicious person/vehicle, and warrant. Wright County Sheriff’s Office Jan. 7, Randy Allen Gordon, 49 of Maple Lake, was charged with felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. Jan. 7, Joseph Brian Parker, 43 of Maple Lake was charged with felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. Jan. 7, Kelly Marie Bartel, 31 of Maple Lake, was charged with felony meth paraphernalia accessible to a child. Jan. 7, Jennifer Joy Tessmer, 31 of South Haven, was charged with fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. Jan. 8, Anthony Edward Stewart, 22 of Kimball, was arrested in Stearns County on a Wright County warrant for second-degree DWI. Jan. 10, Ryan Joseph Boon, 36 of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on an apprehension and detention order from the MN Department of Corrections. Jan. 13, Ryan Michael Larson, 34 of Cold Spring, was arrested in Buffalo on a Wright County warrant for stalking/harassment. There were 14 property-damage accidents, 3 personal-injury accidents, 2 hit-and-run accidents, and 15 car-deer accidents. There were 7 arrests for DWI,
3 underage-consumption arrests,
1 school bus stop-arm violation, and 49 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week. Meeker County Sheriff’s Office Monday, January 14 5:52 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Eden Valley Rescue Squad and Watkins Ambulance for a medical at a residence on Douglas Drive, City of Eden Valley. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital. Friday, January 11 2:25 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Central Avenue North, Watkins. One individual was transported to the Paynesville Hospital. 7:36 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance, per the request of the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, for a medical at Powder Ridge Ski Hill, 93rd Avenue, Kimball. One individual was transported to St .Cloud Hospital. Thursday, January 10 4:24 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a school bus stop arm violation on Meeker Avenue South, Watkins. 11:45 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Green Acres Drive,
Stearns County. One individual was transported to St. Cloud Hospital. Wednesday, January 9 11:20 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a burglary at a residence on County State Aid Highway 2, Forest City Township. 1:15 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at the Eden Valley Area Medical Clinic, Eden Valley. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. Tuesday, January 8 8:01 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical in the city of Kimball,
Stearns County. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. Monday, January 7 4:34 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a gas drive off from Jack’s of Watkins on Veterans Drive, Watkins. The deputy located the suspect party and they were going to contact the business and pay they money owed. 5:47 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a custody issue at a residence on 298th Street, Kingston Township. 6:04 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted with an unsafe condition in the parking lot of Central Tanning and Fitness and New Reflections Hair Salon on Central Avenue South, Watkins.
