Wright County Sheriff’s Office

Oct. 21, William Mathew Nutt, 35 of Annandale, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

Oct. 22, Linda Sue Gipson, 52 of Annandale, was arrested in Yellow Medicine County on a Wright County warrant for probation violation.

Oct. 23, Joseph Daniel Zeidler, 25 of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on a Wright County warrant for second-degree controlled substance violation and the charges of fifth-degree controlled substance violation and flee police on foot.

Oct. 25, Debra Lynne Schroeder, 56 of Annandale, was arrested in Southside Township on the charge of domestic assault.

Oct. 25, Jamie Yvette Walter, 43 of Maple Lake, was arrested in Stearns County on Wright County warrants for domestic assault, fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

There were 31 property-damage accidents, 4 personal-injury accidents, 2 hit-and-run accidents, and 10 car-deer accidents.

There were 5 arrests for DWI,
2 underage-consumption arrests, and 50 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations reported this week.

Monday, October 28

3:19 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance for a medical at St. Anthony Manor, Church Street in Watkins. One individual was transported to
St. Cloud Hospital.

Sunday, October 27

7:34 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft from the Casey’s General Store on West Astro Boulevard, Cosmos.

10:47 a.m. while on patrol a deputy came across a suspicious, unoccupied vehicle, at the Watkins Elementary School on School Avenue South, Watkins. The deputy checked the area and everything was okay.

Saturday, October 26

7:00 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of unsafe conditions on MN Highway 15 near 318th Street, Kingston Township. The MN State Patrol was contacted and a trooper removed a dead deer from the roadway.

2:27 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Litchfield Fire Department for a cornfield fire near an address on CSAH 34, Harvey Township. There was no dollar loss, as the field had already been harvested and just corn stock stubble was burning.

3:38 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Watkins Ambulance for a possible accident on Kingston Street just west of MN Hwy. 15, North Kingston Township. Upon arrival the deputy cancelled the ambulance and issued citations for drug paraphernalia, no insurance and driving permit violation. 

Friday, October 25 

11:29 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance and Eden Valley Rescue for a medical at an address on Meeker Avenue East, Eden Valley. One individual was transported to Paynesville Hospital.

9:24 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance, per the request of the Stearns Co. Sheriff’s Office, for a medical at a residence on Hidden Lane, Fairhaven Township. One individual was treated at the scene and transport was not needed.

11:59 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of harassment at a residence on County State Aid Highway 2, Forest Prairie Township. The deputy made contact with the homeowner who was found to be okay and determined that the phone calls were not harassing in nature.

Thursday, October 24

12:02 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of juvenile trouble on Central Avenue North, Watkins. The juveniles were gone upon the deputy’s arrival.

8:07 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at a residence on County State Aid Highway 2, Forest Prairie Township. Upon the arrival of the deputy it was determined that the trailer that was left on the property was reported stolen out of Stearns County. Stearns County was contacted and would make arrangements to have the trailer picked up from the residence.

10:05 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of unsafe conditions near a residence on Central Avenue North, Watkins. The deputy checked and everything was okay and advised the resident to contact Xcel Energy.

2:16 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of possible child abuse at a residence in Watkins.

8:09 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of graffiti at a residence on 742nd Avenue, Kingston Township. There was no monetary damage reported.

Wednesday, October 23

6:58 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Dassel Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical at a residence on MN Highway 15, Kingston Township. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

9:45 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft from a residence on 742nd Avenue, Kingston Township.

10:00 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical in Stearns County on Countryside Lane, Maine Prairie Township. Watkins Ambulance requested mutual aid, and Gold Cross Ambulance was dispatched to the residence. 

10:26 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of check forgery at the Wells Fargo Bank on 3rd Street North, Dassel.

2:13 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical in Stearns County on Magnus Johnson Street North, Kimball. One individual was transported to St Cloud Hospital.

2:28 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of possible child abuse at a residence on Cedar Avenue South, Watkins.

3:28 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of burglary from a residence on 620th Avenue, Manannah Township.

7:36 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the MN State Patrol at the scene of debris on MN Highway 22, Manannah Township.

9:07 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical on Magnus Johnson Street, Kimball, Stearns County. One individual was transported to the Buffalo Hospital.

Tuesday, October 22

3:33 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of theft from a residence on 600th Avenue, Greenleaf Township.

3:45 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft of gas at Jack’s BP on Veterans Drive in Watkins. 

8:17 p.m. a Sheriff’s Office took a report of a vehicle that hit a raccoon on County State Aid Highway 34 and 350th Street, Forest Prairie Township.  There was minor damage to the vehicle and the raccoon ran off.

Monday, October 21

3:13 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on 350th Street, North Kingston Township. Upon arrival of the deputy, Randy Frank Ecker, age 63, Kimball, was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and terroristic threats. 

7:58 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched the Dassel Rescue Squad and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical at a residence on MN Highway 15, Kingston Township.  The individual was treated at the scene and no transport was needed.

10:38 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a request to check the welfare of an individual at a residence on Meeker Avenue East, Eden Valley.  Upon arrival of the deputy everything was found to be fine.

On the 21st at 12:38 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched the Dassel Rescue Squad and the Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on County State Aid Highway 19, Kingston.  One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

12:50 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office arrested Earl Harrison Coe, age 66, Eden Valley for driving after cancellation on 260th Street, Litchfield.

12:54 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of theft at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, Watkins. Upon arrival of the deputy it was determined to be a misunderstanding.

4:42 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a dog complaint at a residence on Veterans Drive, Watkins.  Upon arrival of the deputy the dog was gone.

6:22 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an animal complaint at Casey’s General Store on Parker Avenue West, Dassel. One adult male golden retriever was transported to the pound.
