Eden Valley Police blotter

There were 63 calls in Eden Valley during March 2014, up 13 from February. Among them were: 18 miscellaneous calls, 11 public assists, 
6 other department assists, 6 rescue assists, 5 verbal warnings, 3 citations, 3 dog complaints, 3 thefts, 2 domestic calls, 2 arrests, 2 ordinance violations, 1 accident, and 1 alarm.

Watkins (by Meeker County Sheriff’s Office) blotter

In Watkins there were a total of 46 calls during March 2014. There were 7 traffic stops (with 5 warnings and 2 citations), 5 thefts (all gas drive-offs, with the violators being found and made to pay their bills), 4 alarms, 4 medical calls, 3 public assists, 2 911 hangups, 2 reports of child abuse/maltreatment; and one each of the following: animal complaint, agency assist, civil complaint, criminal damage to property, disturbance, driving complaint, fraud, hit-and-run, lost/found property, other, parking violation, personal-injury accident (near fire hall), suspicious person/vehicle, theft by check, unsafe conditions, vehicle unlock, violation of Order For Protection, vulnerable adult, and warrant.

Wright County Sheriff’s Office

April 10, Scot Alan Neuschwander, 53 of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on a Wright County warrant for first-degree DWI.

April 11, Traci Lynne Hines, 48 of Clearwater, was arrested in Clearwater on the charge of domestic assault.

April 12, Bruce Douglas Connett, 49 of South Haven, was arrested in Annandale on the charge of second-degree DWI.

April 12, Travis Harlan Koch, 25 of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on an apprehension and detention order from Wright County.

There were 15 property-damage accidents, 8 personal-injury accidents, 3 hit-and-run accidents, and
4 car-deer accidents.

There were 3 arrests for DWI, and 68 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations reported this week.

Sunday, April 13, 2014

1:58 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a noise complaint at a residence on 650th Avenue, Forest Prairie Township. Several deputies, with the assistance of the Litchfield and Eden Valley Police Departments, made contact with multiple individuals and citations were issued for underage consumption. Deputies also arrested both Jeshua Robert Kasper, age 18, of Pierz; and Dakota Samuel Sullivan, age 18, of Pierz; on charges of fleeing on foot.

3:48 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a property damage accident at a residence on 650th Avenue, Forest Prairie Township.

9:49 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a theft of gas from Jack’s Sinclair in Watkins.

Saturday, April 12

6:17 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical on Meeker Avenue North, Watkins. One person was taken to Paynesville Hospital and a report was filed.

6:47 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical on Meeker Avenue South, Watkins.  One party was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.

9:28 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a possible juvenile party at a residence on 677th Avenue, Forest Prairie Township. The deputies checked the area and found all to be okay.

Friday, April 11

7:05 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a car/deer accident on MN Highway 24 near 285th Street, Forest City Township. There were no injuries, the deer was off the roadway and the caller had contacted a tow for assistance. The information was relayed to the MN State Patrol.

10:23 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of harassment at an address on MN Highway 22, Litchfield Township. The deputy advised them of their options.

11:19 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a cellular 9-1-1 call from a residence on 748th Avenue, Kingston Township, requesting to speak to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office. The caller was transferred to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.

4:02 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance and Eden Valley Rescue for a medical at an address on 602nd Avenue, Manannah Township. A short time later Gold Cross Ambulance was dispatched for mutual aid and one individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

8:16 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a request for a deer possession tag in the area of MN Highway 24 and County State Aid Highway 2, Forest City Township. The deputy made contact with the individuals who had changed their minds and a tag was not issued at that time.

8:31 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance and Kimball Rescue Squad for a medical at a residence on County State Aid Highway 17, North Kingston Township. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

Thursday, April 10

3:20 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of illegal dumping at a residence near 617th Avenue and 380th Street, Manannah Township. Meeker County Highway Department was contacted and will pick up the items.

3:59 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle unlock at a residence on Western Avenue North, Watkins. The vehicle was unlocked.

Wednesday, April 9

12:32 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a property damage accident with a deer on MN Highway 24, Forest City Township. The information was given to the MN State Patrol.

11:48 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the public at a residence on Jeanne Avenue, Eden Valley.

3:54 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stop arm violation that occurred on MN Highway 24 and 309th Street, Forest City Township. The information was passed on to the MN State Patrol.

4:20 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft from a residence on 748th Avenue, Kingston Township.

9:42 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a car/deer accident on County State Aid Highway 2, Forest Prairie Township. The deputy issued a deer possession tag for the animal. No injuries were reported.

Tuesday, April 8

2:23 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of child abuse/maltreatment at a residence on 362nd Street, Forest Prairie Township. The information was forwarded on to Meeker County Social Services.

8:35 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a noise complaint at a residence on Meeker Avenue North, Watkins. Upon arrival of the deputy a warning was issued.

10:16 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and took a report of a domestic at a residence on 748th Avenue, Kingston Township.

Monday, April 7

4:38 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and took a report of a suspicious snowmobile at a residence on 695th Avenue, Kingston Township. 

8:23 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and took a report of a vulnerable adult at a residence on Park Street North, Eden Valley.
