Pursuit and arrest near Lake Francis

Friday, April 18, at 10:36 a.m., 
the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office with an arrest on 742nd Avenue, Kingston Township in Meeker County. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office had a vehicle pursuit with Robert Bohach 31, of South Haven earlier in the day and had received information that Bohach was at a residence in Meeker County.

A search of the property revealed that Bohach was hiding in an outbuilding. Bohach was taken into custody without incident.

Bohach was taken to the Stearns County Jail where he awaits felony charges.

He’s being charged with fleeing police in a motor vehicle and two counts of second-degree assault and kidnapping. 

Motorcycle damaged, avoids hitting deer

Sunday, April 20, at 9:22 p.m., the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motorcycle personal injury accident. Jaden Plath, 20 years old from Hutchinson, was driving a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle on 110th Street near County State Aid Highway 26, when a deer came out of the ditch in front of him. Plath had to lay his motorcycle down in order to avoid hitting the deer. The 2005 Suzuki motorcycle rolled and as a result sustained damage to multiple areas.

Plath was taken to the Meeker Memorial Hospital by a private party with non-life threatening injuries.

Grass fire in Dassel

Tuesday, April 15, a grass fire at 74706 CSAH 29, in Collinwood Township caused Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, and Dassel and Litchfield Fire Departments to respond at 3:41 p.m.

Tracy Kraemer, 39, from Dassel, was burning a brush pile when the fire spread to the surrounding grass and then to a slough belonging to George Gulso, 72, from Mound, Minn. There was approximately 15 acres of grass and slough burned. Kraemer was cited at the scene for burning without a permit.

Crash with injuries April 17

Thursday, April 17, at 9:34 a.m.
the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to U.S. Highway 12 near 738th Avenue, Dassel Township, for a two-car personal injury accident.

Kathleen Iverson, 56, from Lakeville, Minn., was driving a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser west on U.S. Highway 12, when she lost control because of the slush on the highway, spun out and into the eastbound lane where she was struck by a 2013 Nissan Rogue driven by Colin Kuechle, 44 from Kimball.

The Iverson vehicle was totaled and the Kuechle vehicle sustained a moderate amount of damage.

Kathleen Iverson was taken by Gold Cross Ambulance to the Meeker Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This crash is currently under investigation by the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.

Mailboxes damaged

Friday, April 18, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received three reports of mailboxes in the Dassel area being destroyed by a pop bottle-type bomb. In one case a neighbor to one of the victims reported hearing an explosion of some kind around
11:38 p.m. Thursday night.

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind the public of the danger of unexploded devices and that they should not be handled. If you find what appears to be a pop bottle type bomb or anything suspicious, or if you have information regarding these incidents please contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately at (320) 693-5400.

Wright County Sheriff’s Office

April 14, Traci Lynn Hines, 48 of Clearwater, was arrested in Clearwater on the charges of disorderly conduct and violation of conditions of release.

April 15, Dakota Rae Bue, 35, of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on the charges of flee police in a motor vehicle, third-degree DWI, and second-degree test refusal.

April 17, Kathryne Margaret Richards, 36 of Clearwater, was arrested in Clearwater Township on the charge of third-degree DWI and a Benton County warrant for theft.

April 17, Dagan Michael Lasart, 32 of St. Cloud, was arrested in Clearwater Township on the charge of felon in possession of narcotics and a Scott County warrant for fifth-degree controlled substance violation.

April 17, Michael David Goehring, 44 of Clearwater, was arrested in Clearwater Township on the charge of fifth-degree controlled substance violation.

April 19, Jon Allen Fredrickson, 46, of Kimball was arrested in South Haven on the charge of third-degree DWI.

April 19, Richard Allen Mitchell, 20 of Clearwater, was arrested in Monticello on a Wright County warrant for first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

There were 90 property-damage accidents, 16 personal-injury accidents, 1 hit-and-run accidents, and
2 car-deer accidents.

1:11 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the area of MN Highway 24 and County State Aid Highway 34, Darwin Township. After investigation the deputy arrested the driver Tineya Lyn Lammersen, age 23 of South Haven, for fourth-degree Driving Under the Influence and Open Container in a Vehicle.

2:27 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a noise complaint at a residence on Church Street North, City of Eden Valley. The deputy checked the area and found all to be okay.

10:21 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical alarm at a residence on Church Street, Watkins. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

10:22 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Eden Valley Rescue Squad and Watkins Ambulance, per the request of the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, for a report of a medical at a residence on Rolling Acres Drive, Eden Lake Township. One individual was transported to CentraCare-Paynesville Hospital.

Saturday, April 19

1:24 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Meeker Avenue South, Watkins. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

7:10 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to assist individuals at a residence on Meeker Avenue South, City of Watkins. The deputy assisted individuals in retrieving property from the residence.

11:17 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Eden Valley Rescue Squad for a medical at a residence on Stearns Avenue East, City of Eden Valley. The Eden Valley Police Department also responded and canceled the Eden Valley Rescue Squad prior to arrival.

Friday, April 18

9:37 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a disturbance at a residence on 3rd Street South, Watkins. Neighbor warned to keep the noise down.

7:45 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance, per the request of the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, for a medical at a residence on Linden Avenue East, City of Kimball. One individual was transported to St. Cloud Hospital.

8:32 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Watkins Rescue Squad and Watkins Ambulance for a medical at
St. Anthony Manor, Church Street in Watkins. One individual was assisted at the scene.

Thursday, April 17

6:18 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Watkins Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Central Avenue South, Watkins. The deputy and Gold Cross Ambulance were cancelled prior to arrival by Watkins Rescue due to the victim refusing transport.

7:06 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a violation of an order for protection at a residence on 350th Street, North Kingston Township. Upon arrival of the deputy it was determined that no violation occurred.

10:19 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a dog complaint in the Watkins Trailer Park, Watkins. A deputy will be following up on the complaint.

5:13 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Kimball Police Department with a traffic stop on Western Avenue in Watkins.

10:14 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious activity on Western Avenue North, Watkins. Eden Valley Police assisted and checked the area and everything appeared to be okay.

11:54 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Eden Valley Police Department at the SpeakEasy on Stearns Avenue East in Eden Valley.

Wednesday, April 16

4:45 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious individual at Jack’s Sinclair, Service Road North, Watkins. The deputy spoke to the individual and found everything to be okay.

Tuesday, April 15

10:15 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of child abuse at a residence on 617th Avenue, Manannah Township.

4:40 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at Manhattan Toy on Park Avenue East, Eden Valley. The alarm was cancelled prior to the deputy’s arrival.

Monday, April 14

2:32 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of mailbox damage at an address on MN Highway 55, Forest Prairie Township.

4:07 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Eden Valley Fire Department for a problem with a wood burning stove at a residence on Rails Avenue West, Eden Valley. Upon arrival the fire department assisted with removing smoke from the house.

10:43 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a domestic at a residence on 707th Avenue, North Kingston Township.
