Wright County Fair schedule of events

The Wright County Fair begins Wednesday, July 28, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 1. This year's fair includes many new attractions with something for everyone. The music events mentioned below are free to the public. Wednesday, July 28 o Rock wall open daily. Ring the buzzer at the top of the advanced side and win $20. o Camel and pony rides available daily. o Magician David Piccirillo will perform free magic shows daily. Piccirillo and his lion and tiger cubs perform all over the country throughout the year. Take a picture with the baby animals or get a balloon animal sculpture for the kids. o Karaoke contest. Everyone is welcome to participate. Thursday, July 29 o Rock wall open daily. o Camel and pony rides available daily. o Magician David Piccirillo will perform free magic shows daily. o Wright County Car Club's Classic Car Show at 3 p.m. o Mrs. Minnesota Nancy Paradeise emcees the Amateur Talent Contest at 7:30 p.m. o Karaoke contest. Friday, July 30 o Rock wall open daily. o Camel and pony rides available daily. o Magician David Piccirillo will perform free magic shows daily. o National Timberjack Series is back with log boom racing. Everyone is invited to take a turn racing across the rolling, bobbing, twisting logs. Three shows daily. o Be a Star performance team will perform a fiesta dance show at 3 p.m. o Wright Saddle Club Junior Drill Team display of horsemanship at 7 p.m. o Honeywagon Band puts a new twist on pop music with a high-energy performance from 8 p.m.-12 midnight. Saturday, July 31 o Rock wall open daily. o Camel and pony rides available daily. o Magician David Piccirillo will perform free magic shows daily. o National Timberjack Series with log boom racing. Three shows daily. o Toys and Sports Card Show with rare toys and sports cards on display and for sale from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. If you would like to participate, call (763) 477-5723, or (320) 963-3397. There is a $10 table fee. o ATV Pull registration begins at 10 a.m. with competition to begin at 12 noon. There will be four weight classes with trophies awarded for first- and second-place in each class. There is a $10 entry fee per pull, and riders younger than 18 must have parental permission. Three shows daily. o Be a Star performance team will perform a fiesta dance show at 12 noon. o The Bob Brenny Show featuring KRWC-1360 AM's best old-time music broadcast live from 1-3 p.m. Cool sounds of jazz from the '50s, '60s and '70s will follow on the Jazz Connection show.
