Supreme Court Justice G. Barry Anderson to Speak at League of Women Voters Forum
Justice Anderson, Coalition for Impartial Justice Campaign Director, Ryan Kelly will speak to local residents about bipartisan judicial election reform proposal
Minnesota Supreme Court Justice G. Barry Anderson will speak at a League of Women Voters forum 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the St. Cloud Public Library, Mississippi Room.
Justice Anderson will be joined by Coalition for Impartial Justice Campaign Director, Ryan Kelly, to discuss the bipartisan judicial election proposal that is being considered at the state legislature. Earlier this month, the proposal, the Impartial Justice Act, passed the House Elections Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The Impartial Justice Act is supported by the League of Women Voters, Minnesota; the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce; the AFL-CIO; Republicans like former Minnesota Governor Al Quie; Democrats like former U.S. Vice President Walter Mondale; and dozens of Minnesota businesses.
Ryan Kelly will open the event with remarks, followed by Justice Anderson, and a Q and A with attendees. Additional details are below.
