Veterans Day ceremonies Nov. 11

Kimball Area High School

A Veterans Day program will be presented at Kimball Area High School, in the Wirth gym, from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11. A slide show will feature local veterans. The American Legion Auxiliary will demonstrate flag folding, and the MIA table. And a special speaker is being arranged. Contact Tammy Konz at (320) 398-5011.

St. Cloud Hospital

St. Cloud Hospital will honor men and women for military service during a special ceremony from 10-11 a.m. Monday, 
Nov. 11, in Hoppe Auditorium. Family members, patients and employees are invited to honor our American heroes, including veterans, active military, reservists and National Guard.

The ceremony will include acknowledgments from Craig Broman, president of St. Cloud Hospital. Also included in the ceremony will be:

• Color Guard procession;

• National Anthem;

• Presentations by St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis; Mike Eisenstadt on veterans’ employment; and Angela Cope, St. Cloud Hospital employee and active military;

• A video tribute to veterans;

• Flag folding presentation; and

• A Veterans Day blessing.

Hilltop Health Care Center

A special program will be held for residents and their families at Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11.

Eden Valley-Watkins High School

This year’s Veterans Day program will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the EV-W auxiliary (old) gym. There will be special music, and Retired Chief Master Sargeant Don Dufner will be the speaker.

If you can’t attend one of these services, please remember our veterans on their day, Nov. 11. It is the least we can do!
