June 20 St. Cloud Singles Dance

Haag family reunion Aug. 17

A Haag family reunion for members of the late William and Elizabeth Haag family will be held at the Sportsmen’s Club located on Brown’s lake north of Eden Valley Sunday, Aug. 17.

There will be a potluck dinner beginning at 1 p.m. All utensils, plates, cups, coffee and Koolaid will be furnished. Please inform your families.

Valley Daze Kiddie Parade June 27


Once again, the Valley Victors 4H Club will be hosting the Valley Daze Kiddie Parade. This year, the parade will be held Friday, June 27. Registration will take place at 5:30 p.m. 

in Water Tower Park and the parade will begin at 6 p.m.  Prizes will be given for those participating. So start planning your float, get your friends together and we will see all participants in Water Tower Park at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 27.

St. Anthony Picnic in the Park June 21


Art Fair: We are looking for artists like you

St. Anthony Church in Watkins is having its annual festival, Picnic in the Park, 11 a.m. to
7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at McCarthy Park. This year, we would like to host an Art Fair 
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as a part of our outdoor festival. We need artists like you. It will be held at McCarthy Park in Watkins.

This is our first year hosting such an event. St. Anthony will provide a vendor space at no charge. Everything you need to run your vendor space, must be provided by you, the vendor. All monies that you make, you keep.

Available Space

Each artist will be assigned a 5 x 9 space along the south side of street of the festival, or in the Farmer’s State Bank parking lot. Please be advised that there is no electricity or running water available at the site. St. Anthony Church will provide only the space and advertising for the event. Artists must provide their own display materials, change box, tarps to cover in the event of inclement weather, etc. Directions and a map of the festival space will be provided to registered exhibitors.


Second annual Halo Fun Run/Walk

Announcing the second annual Halo Fun Run/Walk 5K along with the Lil’ Angels 1K. The Location is Flash’s Gas and Auto at 301 3rd Street North in Watkins, Saturday, June 21. Registration and Packet Pickup begins at 7:45 a.m.,
5K starts at 8:30 a.m. The 1K starts right after the last 5K runner comes in at about 10 a.m. Cost is $20 for 5K and $10 for 1K.
