This year’s Easter egg hunt in Watkins was held at the Lions skating rink. It was a beautiful day for the event, neither too warm or too cold, and all the children had lots of fun. Besides gathering eggs, children also enjoyed popcorn and cotton candy, face painting, and a drawing for prizes afterward. The Lions/Lioness and Riverwood Realty sponsored the event. Lynn Lange is the new Officer In Charge (OIC) at the South Haven Post Office, as of April 3. She replaces Patty Nelson who is now back at the Kimball Post
Office as OIC there. Kimball’s Postmaster Rachel Christensen has accepted a long-term indefinite detail at the Post Office’s Labor Office in the Twin Cities.
“This isn’t my first rodeo,” joked Lange this week. She has been with the Post Office for 14 years, and comes from the Litchfield Post Office.
Lange lives in Watkins with her husband (of seven months) Bob Lange. She has three children and six grandchildren.
The Post Office hours of operation remain the same: M-F 7-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m., Sat. 8:30-10 a.m.

featuring 250 singers at SJU Abbey
The Cold Spring Area Maennerchor, a male chorus which is comprised of more than 40 members from all over the greater Cold Spring area, is hosting The Big Sing, “O Come Let Us Sing” is theme for this year’s event which is to be performed at the St. John’s University Abbey Church Saturday, April 26, at 7 p.m. More than 250 male voices will join to bring you some of the greatest music you’ll hear in the Central MN region.
Tickets for the 2014 Big Sing will be on sale every Wednesday evening in front of the ROCORI High School Auditorium from 7-9 p.m.
The Fairhaven Old Settlers committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the Fair Haven town hall. Any volunteers are always welcome.

A representative of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce will be at the next meeting of the Eden Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Social time starts at 6 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 and the meeting starting at 7, at Valley Inn in Eden Valley.
Attendees will get ideas for how to get more people involved, and how to make the chamber an even more active organization.
