Stephan (Steve) Zimmer, 53

Stephan (Steve) Zimmer of Watkins, died unexpectedly at his home Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014. He was 53.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins with Fr. John Brunner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.


Sharon Shoutz, 72

Sharon Shoutz of Watkins died peacefully in her sleep Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, in her home surrounded by her loving family. W-SharoncropShe was 72.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church in Forest City. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield with a parish prayer service at 7:45 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the St. Gertrude Catholic Cemetery in Forest City.


Violet Gillman, 85

Violet Gillman of Kimball died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins under hospice care. She was 85.

W-aaGillmanViVisitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at the Kimball United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Felska officiating. Burial will be at Coleraine Cemetery in Coleraine, Minn.


Wilbert A. Konz, 54

Wilbert Konz of Seattle, Wash., died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Northwest Hospital in Seattle.W-Konz-Wilbert

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pearl Lake with Fr. Ralph Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.


Lee Hoskins, 74

Lee Hoskins of Kimball died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at his home. He was 74.W-Hoskins-Lee

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the Church of Christ in Kimball. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, both at the church. Burial will occur at a later date in the Memorial Garden at the Hoskins’ family farm.
