Last summer, Eden Valley held its first “Music in the Valley” concert. Hairball performed on a beautiful summer evening on the Eden Valley Elementary school fields. The event was a fundraiser for the brand-new, independent Eden Valley Area Library.
As a first-time effort, no one knew quite what to expect. It was well attended, everyone enjoyed it, and money was raised for the library.
This year’s concert is being billed as “Mid-Summer Blast.” The nationally known band Warrant, an ’80s hard-rock band, will blast the valley.
Gates will open at 5, with music beginning at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. Other performers will be Dirtee Circus, Helforstout, Crimson Edge, and the local group Royal Boyz. The entire performance is for age 18+.
All proceeds from the event will go to Eden Valley’s Healthy Community Partnership group; the new library is one of the main projects launched by the HCP group.
Tickets are available online at www.evec22.org or can be purchased at Eden Valley City Hall or at Ugly Tom’s in Eden Valley. Advance tickets are $15; tickets at the gate will be $25.
