Veterans celebrated in Eden Valley

EDEN VALLEY: EV-W High School again hosted a Veterans Day program, at 7:30 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. The EV-W high school and junior high bands, and the EV-W choirs from 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, along with the Concert Choir all performed music for the program. Eden Valley Legion Post 381 and Auxiliary, Watkins Legion Post 453, Wat-Kim-Valley VFW Post 5460 and Auxiliary, and the POW-MIA Honor Guard participated in the program. Retired Chief MSgt. Don Dufner was the guest speaker. He spoke about his 30-year career in the Air Force, and the core values of the military: loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, personal courage. Veterans Day, to him, celebrates all military heroes, including those currently serving.
