A turkey hunt for people with disabilities will take place at Stearns County’s Rockville Park & Nature Preserve. The park will be closed to the general public during both of the five-day hunts.
Hunters will be able to use shotguns, bows or crossbows. Hunting will be limited to portable ground blinds.
Four hunters will be selected and supervised by Midwest Outdoors Unlimited for each of the hunts. The mission of the group is to provide outdoor recreational activities for Disabled American Veterans, disabled individuals, and disabled youth in Minnesota. Each disabled hunter will be accompanied by at least one able-bodied person while in the park.

More than two million families have positively changed their financial future through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU). The nine-week course provides families and individuals with practical tools to gain control of their finances and set themselves up for long-term financial success. The course meets once a week where a different lesson is taught by Dave on DVD followed by a small-group discussion. Lessons include budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing. FPU will be held in Kimball at:

The Church of Our Lady Manannah will have a sausage and pancake supper from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23.
Admission is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 6-12, and children 5 and younger are free. There will also be Cash Bingo.
The members of the Kingston Johnson Kelly American Legion Post and Auxiliary will meet at the Kingston Johnson Kelly Legion Hall for their regular monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, Feb. 25.
Plans will be made for their annual fish fry to be held Friday evening March 21.
