The Kimball FFA held its third annual Car and Tractor Show from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, as part of the Kimball Days Celebration. The Car and Tractor Show had 57 entrants, concluding that they had a great turnout. Catholic Charities Senior Dining of Kimball is holding a special “Dog Days of Summer” on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at St. Anne’s Cafeteria, beginning at 11:15 a.m. coffee/treats.

The second annual Mudman Race (Mudman 2013) will be held at Powder Ridge this coming Saturday, Aug. 17.
New this year: Spectators will be allowed to view the race from anywhere on the hill including areas that you have never before seen. Uphill walks will be necessary to view some of the events.
There is no spectator fee for the event, but there is a $10 per car on-site parking fee. With each parking ticket attached will be $3 in FREE food and beverage tickets per car.
There will be concessions as well as a DJ and live music. Carry-on food and beverage is not allowed.
The heats begin at 10 a.m. and the last one starts about 2 p.m.
The event takes place on the hills in front of Powder Ridge and behind, in areas you have never before seen.
Come on out for a day of entertainment and fun.
