Edward C. Haus of Pearl Lake (Marty) died unexpectedly Saturday, May 18, 2013, at his home of natural causes. He was 47.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pearl Lake (Marty). Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Ed was born in St. Cloud Sept. 25, 1965, to Cyril and Marian (Valerius) Haus. He married Kathy Viogt Sept. 25, 2004, in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pearl Lake. Ed owned and operated Quality Haus Builders; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a proud gardener. He adored his family, and was an active member of Holy Cross Parish, Pheasants Forever, and was an avid member of the National Wild Turkey Fedeeration. Ed was devoted to mentoring kids in the outdoors.
Ed was preceded in death by his grandparents Henry and Anna Hauys, Clem and Theresa Valerius; father-in-law Silverius “Skit” Vogt.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathy; stepsons Cory Christian and Ryan Christian; parents Cyril and Marian Haus; brothers and sisters Diane (and Allen) Kuechle, Dave (and Judy Haus, Marge (and Willy Kuechle, Jerry (and Lisa) Haus, Alan (and Michele) Haus, Mark (and Stacey) Haus, Chuck (and Sondra) Haus, Jana (and Troy) Hilsgen, Debbie Haus, John (and Nicol) Haus, Neil (and Terese) Haus; mother-in-law Stella Vogt; brothers and sisters-in-law Mark (and Lynn) Vogt, Randy (and Ann) Vogt, Sandy (and Russ) Van Beck, Tim Vogt (and Julie Steuck); 36 nieces and nephews; one great-nephew and one great-niece.
Arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond.
