Charlotte Weigelt of Buffalo, formerly of Kimball, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Cottagewood Senior Community in Buffalo. She was 77.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Kimball with Fr. Thomas Olson as the Celebrant. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball, and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in the Herman-Weigelt Cemetery in Waskish.
Charlotte Mary (Herman) Weigelt was born June 26, 1935, to Charles and Anna (Cain) Herman. She graduated from Keliher High School with the Class of 1953. Sept. 4, 1954, she was united in marriage to Clifward L. Weigelt in Minneapolis, and he preceded her in death Jan. 31, 2005. She was a member of the St. Anne Catholic Church in Kimball. Charlotte enjoyed gardening, fishing, garage sales, antiques and her grandchildren.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Anna; husband Clifward; sons Stephen and Dean; daughters Christi Ann Benson and Veronica Weigelt; and great-granddaughter Lucy June Faraone.
She is survived by her children Carla Austin of Brookings, Ore., Anna (and Walter) Donnay of Andover, Barbara (and Chris) Barksdale of Sarasota, Fla., and Butch Weigelt of Buffalo; sisters Helen (and Bart) Weigert of Galveston, Texas, and Kathy (and Wayne) Beehler of Bemidji; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The pallbearers will be Chad, Ryan, Travis, Ben, and Justin Weigelt, Dale Faraone, and Henry Donnay. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
