Lorraine Nohner died Monday, May 27, 2013. She was 91.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, May 31, at St. Peter's Church in Richfield, Minn. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Lorraine was born to Nicholas and Mary Lies and raised on a farm near Manannah. She was married to Raymond Nohner Nov. 27, 1943. Although they spent most of their adult life in Minneapolis and Richfield, their ties remained strong to the Manannah-Eden Valley area through visits to relatives and weekend trips to their cabin on Lake Carnelian near Kimball.
Lorraine was a long-time employee of Honeywell. She was an avid gardener and accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and square-danced into her 80s.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Lucille Arnold, Melvina Queenan, and Elmer Lies.
She is survived by Raymond, her husband of 69 and a half years, and by her children Richard and Mary Jo.
Arrangements were by Gill Brothers Home in Minneapolis.
