Kevin “KJ” Sukut of South Haven, formerly of Minneapolis, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 28, 2013, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Kevin Jay Sukut was born Feb. 21, 1963, in Moline, Ill., to Lillian Sukut. He entered the military and proudly served in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged. KJ married Diana Maxwell April 11, 2005, in Buffalo, Minn. He worked for Minnesota Department of Transportation until 2003. He then began working for Hennepin County as a senior sign worker.
KJ enjoyed collecting penguins, hunting, motorcycles, guns, the outdoors, dogs, cooking and grilling. He enjoyed visiting with people, as he was blessed with the gift of gab. KJ took great joy in his family, especially his granddaughter.
KJ is survived by his wife Diana of Fort Worth, Texas; son Jeremy (and fiancé Stephanie Adair) Sukut of Crystal, Minn.; granddaughter Zoey Sukut; and mother Lillian Sukut of South Haven.
