Kenneth Brinkman of Richmond died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was 69.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, Minn. Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond, and from 9-10:15 a.m Thursday morning. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary with the Knights of Columbus. Burial will be in the St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Farming.
Kenneth T. Brinkman was born Aug. 10, 1944, in Richmond, Minn., to John and Veronica (Gertken) Brinkman. He married Mary Jane Klehr June 22, 1974, in Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Richmond. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1965 to 1971. He was a farmer, enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with family. He was a member of the Farming Sportsmen’s Club, Farming Lions, American Legion Post 292, Knights of Columbus, and St. Martin Parish.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents John and Veronica Brinkman; brothers-in-law Ambrose Molitor, Hoppy Cassady, Delbert and Marvin Klehr.
He is survived by his wife Mary; children and their families Jason (and Rebecca), Sarah and Cooper; Jesse (and Robyn), Taylor, Brittany, and Kendra; Jill (and Pete) Thelen, Kylie, Ava, and Shelby; Jay (and Katie), Eli, Reece, and Violet; brothers and sisters Ralph (and Sharon), Alvina (and Tony) Mies, Fran (and Bud) Winters, Lorraine (and Don) Jungles, Cora (and Lyle) Daugherty, Werner (and Donna), Melvin (and Gayle), David (and Janet), Diane (and Dennis) Heying, Judy Klehr, Doris (and Michael) Grady, and Sandy (and Marc) Booth.
