Tamara Sue (Smith) Steffes was born July 14, 1963, to Stanley and Joyce (Myllykangas) Smith in Litchfield. She grew up in the Kimball area and after graduation from high school moved to St. Cloud. She married Larry Steffes Aug. 27, 1988, and soon after, moved to Coon Rapids where she spent nearly the rest of her life. Tammy was a gifted musician which she portrayed through her love of playing the piano. She was also known for her talents as a cook
and gardener. Tammy worked as a waitress for a large part of her life serving at such places as Perkins, Bakers Square, and IHOP. What she was most proud of in her life, however, were her children whom she loved dearly.
Tammy was preceded in death by her ex-husband Larry Steffes; and her grandparents Norman and Harriet Smith, and Roy and Lempi Myllykangas.
She is survived by her children Tom Steffes of Phoenix, Ariz., Tiffany Steffes of Coon Rapids; her parents Stanley and Joyce Smith of Kingston; her siblings Todd (and Kim) Smith of St. Cloud, Terry (and Tom) Smith of Edina, Troy (and Janice) Smith of Kingston, and Tanya (and Jared) Dahnke of St. Cloud; and her step-children Eric Steffes, and Gina Steffes, both of Phoenix, Ariz.
