Todd Alan Roy, of Annandale, formerly of Fairhaven, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, in Watkins. He was 45.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Olson as the Celebrant. Burial followed at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. Friends called from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services, Saturday at the church. Parish Prayers were at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Todd Alan Roy was born March 1, 1968, in Litchfield to Donald and Maryln (Kotila) Roy. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Persian Gulf War. Todd owned and operated Todd’s Quality Painting. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He loved being outdoors especially fishing, hunting and camping. Todd thought the world of his step-son and loved being from a large family.
Todd is preceded in death by his father Donald Roy; stepfather Richard Hunt; and grandparents Charles and Arlayne Hunt, Toivo Kotila, and Morris and Josephine Roy.
He is survived by his mother Maryln Hunt of Fairhaven; fiancée Cassandra Janisch of Annandale; stepson Derek Janisch of Annandale; grandmother Alyce Kotila of Sauk Rapids; brother Vincent Roy of Little Falls; sister Melissa Hunt (and fiancé Benjamin Rutka) of St. Cloud; and nieces Nicole, Alexis and Miya Roy.
The urn bearer was Charles Bollman. The St. Anne’s Choir provided the music for the service. The Kimball American Legion Club and the Minnesota Army National Guard Honor Guard provided the Military Honors for the service. Arrangements were entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
