Local crime blotters



Rollover accident with injuries

Monday, Nov. 6, at 10:07 p.m. the Meeker County Sheriff's Office, Eden Valley Rescue, Eden Valley Fire Department, Watkins Ambulance, and Minnesota State Patrol were dispatched and responded to Highway 55, approximately one half mile west of County State Aid Highway 34, for a one-vehicle rollover personal-injury accident. David Nelson, 46 years old, from Eden Valley, was driving a 1994 Plymouth Voyager east on Highway 55, when he swerved to miss a deer causing the vehicle to go into the south ditch, roll over, and come to a rest on a replacement power line pole.

David Nelson and passengers, Danielle Nelson, 16, of Eden Valley, and Caramon Hansen, 19, of Watkins, were taken by Watkins Ambulance to Paynesville Hospital.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.

During October, there were a total of 5 citations issued and no verbal warnings issued. There were 9 calls to assist Rescue, 9 calls to assist Rescue, 4 calls to assist other departments, 4 calls to assist the public, 3 arrests, 3 thefts, 2 domestic calls, 2 fights, 1 report of vandalism, and 32 miscellaneous calls.

Police Blotter: Watkins (Meeker County Sheriff)

In October, there were a total of 58 calls by the Meeker County Sheriff's Deputy within the City of Watkins. These included 20 traffic stops (7 warnings, 13 citations), 4 medical calls,

3 agency assist calls, 3 child abuse/maltreatment calls, 3 suspicious person/vehicles, 3 thefts, 2 calls to check the welfare of an individual, 2 ordinance violations, 2 threats, plus single calls each for animal complaints, assist the public, civil complaints, fights, fire calls, lost/found property, noise complaint, person under the influence, property-damage accidents, Salvation Army voucher, scam/swindle attempt, unwanted individual, vehicle unlock, and violation of order for protection.

Wright County Sheriff's Office

Nov. 6, Tamara Lane Steinhofer, 48 of Annandale, was arrested in Southside Township on an apprehension and detention order from Wright County.

Nov. 7, Billy Curtis Harrison, 21 of Annandale, was arrested in Albion Township on the charge of possession of stolen property.

Nov. 7, Irene Jane Harrison, 51 of Annandale, was arrested in Albion Township on the charge of possession of stolen property.

Nov. 7, Phillip Lee Harrison, 23 of Annandale, was arrested in Albion Township on the charge of possession of stolen property.

Nov. 7, Charles Lee Harrison, 19 of Annandale, was arrested in Albion Township on the charge of possession of stolen property.

Nov. 8, Brittney Lynn Raymond, 24 of Maple Lake, was arrested in Hennepin County on a MN Department of Corrections warrant for violation of supervised release.

Nov. 9, Tony Zachary Steinhofer, 44 of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on a MN Department of Corrections warrant for fifth-degree controlled substance violation.

Nov. 11, Blake Henry Schauf, 22 of Maple Lake, was arrested in Marysville Township on the charges of domestic assault, trespassing, disorderly conduct ,and flee police on foot.

There were 21 property-damage accidents, 3 personal-injury accidents, 3 hit-and-run accidents, and 22 car-deer accidents.

There were 10 arrests for DWI,

10 underage-consumption arrests, and 27 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.

Monday, November 12

1:10 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, Watkins. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

Sunday, November 11

2:05 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a civil issue at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, Watkins. The deputy spoke to the individuals and advised them of their options.

2:21 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received a report of a civil issue at a residence on 676th Avenue, Watkins. The deputy spoke to the individual and advised them of their options.

2:51 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a vehicle unlock at a residence on 298th Street, Kingston Township. The vehicle was unlocked.

3:44 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and dispatched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Coleman Avenue East, Eden Valley. Watkins Ambulance was cancelled prior to arrival, no medical need; it was a lift assist only.

5:15 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a property damage accident on County Road 150, Stearns County. No transport was needed.

5:19 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a missing child from a residence on Brooks Street South, Eden Valley. Prior to the arrival of the deputy the child was located and all was okay.

Saturday, November 10

10:25 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of illegal dumping at the North Fork Crow River Public Access on County State Aid Highway 2, Forest City. The deputy located the owner of the trash and they picked up all the debris.

6:34 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received a report of a hunting violation near MN Highway 24 and 330th Street, Kingston Township. The information was passed on to the game warden.

Friday, November 9

12:37 a.m. the Sheriff's Office dispatched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on MN Highway 22, Eden Lake Township, Stearns County. Both were canceled prior to arrival as medical attention was not needed.

10:40 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a 9-1-1 hang up call from a residence on 725th Avenue, Kingston Township. The deputy checked the residence and everything appeared to be okay.

10:43 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and dispatched Eden Valley Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical that Church of Our Lady on County State Aid Highway 3, Manannah Township. Gold Cross Ambulance was canceled prior to arrival.

6:13 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to assist the Stearns County Sheriff's Office and dispatched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a possible medical at a residence on Willow Avenue, Eden Valley. Rescue and ambulance were canceled prior to arrival.

Thursday, November 8

5:12 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at Hilltop Care Center, Watkins. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

5:30 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 call reporting the poaching of a deer in the Cokato area. The caller was transferred to the Wright County Sheriff's Office.

8:40 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Linden Avenue East, Kimball. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

8:54 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 hang up call from a residence on 668th Avenue, Forest City Township. A deputy responded and a juvenile male was arrested for Interference with a 9-1-1 Call and Domestic Assault.

Wednesday, November 7

11:57 a.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a theft at a property on MN Highway 55, Manannah Township.

10:25 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a dog complaint at a residence on 317th Street, Forest City. An older female tri-colored dog, unknown breed, with a flea collar and broken leash was transported to the Litchfield Dog Pound.

Tuesday, November 6

11:49 a.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a theft at Jack's of Watkins.

12:55 p.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted the Eden Valley Police Department on a domestic assault call at a residence on Brooks Street South, Eden Valley.

2:28 p.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted the Eden Valley Police Department on a domestic assault call at a residence on State Street South, Eden Valley.

4:14 p.m. the Sheriff's Office arrested Jamie Raye Norris, age 24, Watkins, at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park on a Meeker County warrant for failure to appear.

6:07 p.m. the Sheriff's Office arrested Lucas Andrew Donnay, age 19, of Watkins, on Western Avenue North, Watkins, on a Meeker County warrant for failure to appear for hearing.

Monday, November 5

10:52 a.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a custody issue at a residence on Brooks Street South, Eden Valley. The deputy spoke to all parties involved.

1:41 p.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a possible scam attempt at a residence on County State Aid Highway 19, Kingston Township.

4:51 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received a cellular 9-1-1 call requesting a welfare check on Hillside Drive, Eden Valley, Stearns County. The call was transferred to Stearns County Sheriff's Office.

5:33 p.m. the Sheriff's Office took information on a car verses deer accident in the area of MN Highway 15 and MN Highway 24, North Kingston Township. There were no injuries reported. The call was transferred to the MN State Patrol.
