Meeker Memorial Clinic in Dassel received the Press Ganey 2013 Guardian of Excellence Award for achieving 95th percentile in patient satisfaction
Meeker Memorial Hospital (MMH) is proud to announce that the Meeker Memorial Clinic (MMC) in Dassel has been named a 2013 Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey Associates, Inc. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing facilities that consistently achieved the 95th percentile of performance in patient satisfaction.
The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a health care industry symbol of achievement. Fewer than 5 percent of all Press Ganey clients reach this threshold and consistently maintain it for the one-year reporting period. Press Ganey partners with more than 10,000 health care facilities, including more than half of all U.S. hospitals, to measure and improve the patient experience.
The Post Offices in Kimball, Eden Valley, Watkins, and South Haven will close for the Holidays at noon Tuesdays, Dec. 24 and 31.
They will be closed for Christmas Day and New Year Day.

She will be signing copies of her new cookbook, The New Midwestern Table: 200 Heartland Recipes, which offers a fresh take on Midwestern dishes she grew up with, as well as local gems from across the region. The book retails for $35, plus sales tax, and is available for purchase in the Museum Store. Stearns History Museum members receive a 10-percent discount.
A Minnesota native, Thielen is a professional chef who spent seven years cooking professionally in New York City under David Bouley, Daniel Boulod, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and Shea Gallante. Since returning to Minnesota in 2008, she also has written for the Star Tribune, and national publications Men’s Journal and Saveur and has won the James Beard Award for her journalism. Second annual holiday open house
The Stables at Greenfield Farm will be hosting their second Annual Holiday Open House from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Everyone is invited to attend and check out the facilities. The Stables at Greenfield Farm is a new equine facility located in the Maple Lake area that specializes in lessons, training and sales. The lesson program includes students from the age of 5 to 65. The disciplines taught are English, Western Pleasure, and Driving. There will be live demonstrations featuring some of the riders and horses at 2, 3, and 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
