EV-W Classroom of the Week: Mrs. Ramler's 1st Grade

There are 21 students in our class. Austin Pelkey and Zach Blonigen are our high school helpers, and Teresa Trout is our TitleI assistant.

We learn so many things that it would be difficult to list them all, but some of them include: learning how to be polite and how to be a good friend, how to read or become a better reader; we practice telling time, counting money, and we practice addition and subtraction. We also work on improving our writing skills throughout the year.

One thing that makes first grade so special is seeing so much growth in all of the students from the beginning of the school year until the end. Each student adds something special to our class, which makes every year an exciting journey.

We will go to a play, "Junie B. Jones - Jingle Bells, Batman Smells" at St. John's Thursday, Dec. 13, and we will go to Earthway Farm in Fairhaven Friday, April 26.
