Making dreams come true in Watkins

Hilltop Health Care Center has been making dreams come true and plan to continue to make dreams come true. In October 2012, Hilltop Health Care Center has made dreams come true for eight residents. One resident was taken to her family farm and to Walmart in Litchfield. Walmart donated a gift card for her to go shopping.


Kimball FFA attends nat'l convention

The Kimball FFA has put the "Boots On" and kicked off a great start to the new year.

Six FFA members and their advisor Ms. Nelson joined the more than 50,000 at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.


Weather patterns and looking back at 2012

I attended a crop insurance workshop in Mankato in the middle of September where Elwynn Taylor, well know climate specialist and agronomist at Iowa State, offered some discussion about the weather, climate, and crop trends.


St. Wendelin breakfast Nov. 18

The Christian Women of

St. Wendelin Parish will sponsor their annual breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Nov. 18 at Mary Hall.

The menu will include Peps pork sausage, ham pancakes with toppings, scrambled eggs, fruit, toast, fresh-baked rolls and beverages.

There will also be a bake and craft sale and raffle.

Sunday Mass at St. Wendelin's is at 9 a.m.


Local runners in MMRF 5K

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) held a 5K walk/run at Lake Phalen Regional Park in St. Paul Saturday, Sept. 30. The team "Richard's Racers" was made up of 23 Libbesmeier family members who participated in this fundraiser.
