In kindergarten, we do so much and learn so many new things. In reading, the first few months of school we learn to recognize letter name and sound correspondence and phonemnic awareness. Then we begin to learn
about sight word recognition, writing skills, rhyming, blending words, and grammar skills.
Now we are reading lots and lots! In math, we learn shapes, patterning, number recognition, coins, telling time, addition, subtraction, more and less, and so much more. We also learn science and social studies skills too. We are very busy in kindergarten.
Every year, the kindergarten class goes on two field trips at the end of the school year. The first field trip is to Litchfield for a picnic at the park, then to Meeker County Hospital for a fun tour. The second field trip is to the A Maze'n Farmyard in Eden Valley for a fun-filled day of seeing animals.
This is a wonderful, caring class of kindergartners. We learn something new every day, and we all have so much fun learning!
