Eden Valley-Watkins speech team takes first place

EV-W speech team took first place in Sub-Sections Thursday, April 4. They are coached by Bonnie Spohn Schmaltz. Individuals receiving awards were: Jasmine Miller-second alternate in Creative, Erin Salo-first alternate in Extemporaneous Reading, Heidi Geislinger in Creative, Teresa Bautch and Brittany Hesse in Duo Interpretation, and Maddison Moyer in Drama.

Advancing to the Section tournament are:

Sixth place-Paige Meyer in Informative, Tori Barnes in Drama, and Kayla Ehresmann in Prose;

Fifth place-Tyler Swafford in Discussion, Thomas Neuman in Drama, and Sarah Wirz in Poetry;

Fourth place-George Lemke in Extemporaneous Speaking, Cameron Flaschenriem in Great Speeches, and Meredith Gruenes in Original Oratory;

Third place-Dyani Acosta and Kaitlyn Gruber in Duo Interpretation, and Debbie Holdvogt in Informative;

Second place-Morgan Steffens in Original Oratory and Maggie Schmaltz in Prose.

Subsection Champions were Matt Benson in Discussion, Dylan Butterfass and Patrick Latcham in Duo Interpretation, Anne Benson in Great Speeches, Madison Field in Humorous, and Anne Gathje in Original Oratory.
