We have been working very hard to learn how to read. We have already learned 30 sight-words, and we are becoming very good at sounding
out words. We can tell time to the hour and half-hour, make patterns, name the days of the week, and are presently learning the names and values of coins. We like to sing, and are excited to put on our spring program, "By the Beautiful Sea," for parents, grandparents, other relatives and friends on Monday, May 6.
In May, we will get to go on two field trips. We take one trip to Litchfield to visit the Meeker County Memorial Hospital and to play and picnic at Ripley Park. Our second field trip will be to the A Maze'n Farmyard in Eden Valley, to see the animals, go through the maze, and ride the big slide.
We participated in our school's "Pennies for Patients" fundraiser this winter. We also participated in a school magazine sales fundraiser.
Our class is special because we are very kind and respectful toward one another, and we all get along very well. We enjoy doing things together because we care about one another.
