Valley Victors 4-H Club met April 8

The Valley Victors 4-H club held their April meeting April 8, 2013, at the Eden Valley Event Center. Roll call was name something fun to do in the mud. Ashley Gruenes talked to the club about how to bottle feed a calf. Arnie Gruenes showed the club how to make seven layer bars. Anthony Shettler presented a demonstration on showing rabbits. Taylor Ruprecht talked about the show box diorama that she made. Leah Ruprecht showed the club how to make chocolate chip cookies. Gretta Lemke presented a demonstration on fortune tellers. George Lemke gave a demonstration on making survival crafts. Henry Lemke showed the club his food review project.

The club’s Share the Fun skit did well and earned the award for most humorous. Spring road ditch cleaning is set for May 18. Project bowl participants in dairy and rabbit bowls fared well at regional contests. Participants in Food Review and Demonstration day did very well. The club project theme this year was chosen to be fireworks.

Thank you to Shelby Kuechle for volunteering to be in charge of the pet show and to the Lemke and Maas families for volunteering to be in charge of the Kiddie Parade during Valley Daze. Family fun day will be April 21, at the Litchfield Bowling Center. The next meeting will be May 19, at the Lemke farm.
