Meet the teacher-Carolyn Becher


Special Ed Read – 2 hours per day, 7th, 8th-grade Art, Computer Art, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and General
W-carolyn-becher Art.

My family: My husband is Eugene Becher. I have three stepchildren; one brother, one sister; seven nieces and nephews; three grandnieces, and a grandnephew.

I grew up in: Royalton, Minn. My high school: Royalton High School

College (and degrees): St. Cloud State University; BS Art Education K-12; BS Special Education K-12; Learning Disabilities and M.M.H.

My academic achievements: I helped many students pass State Reading Test. Helping students improve their art skills gives me great satisfaction.

Other life achievements: I was nominated Minnesota Teacher of the Year by a parent in 2012. I also received the Leadership in Education Wellness award; Secretary for the Art Educators of Minnesota.

My favorite school experience (as a student): My elementary teachers would allow me to make their bulletin boards after I had all of my assignments completed for all of my classes.

My favorite school experience (as a teacher): Is when students enjoy and want to learn what I teach them and feel good about their accomplishments.

Something most people don't know about me: I sell paintings, new styles of scarves and computer art at the Little Falls Arts and Craft Show which is the largest craft show in Minnesota.
