The Eden Valley-Watkins FFA chapter was very busy during the month of October. We had students compete in the Region V soils judging competition in Montevideo, Minn. Students also attended the University of Minnesota fall invitational contest and competed in horse judging, poultry judging, and dairy cattle evaluation. The Region V horse judging contest was held at the Paffrath farm in Spicer, Minn.
National FFA convention was held in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 30-Nov. 2. Mrs. Tracy Huhn, EV-W FFA advisor, received her Honorary American Degree at the fourth general session of the convention. Five EV-W FFA members attended the convention this year. Students toured a honey farm, Louisville Slugger factory, the Kentucky Horse Park, and attended sessions and the Career Fair and Expo.
