EV-W Drama Club presents play

EV-W Drama Club will be performing the play “Eleemosynary” by Lee Blessing. The play centers around the delicate relationship between three women: Dorothea (Madi Field,) the eccentric grandmother, Artie (Anne Benson,) her daughter who has fled her mother’s domination and Echo (Heidi Geislinger,) Artie’s exceptional daughter who was raised by Dorothea. The only way that Artie and Echo communicate is through telephone conversations about a National Spelling Bee that consumes Echo’s thoughts. The three women struggle but find a way to build a life together. In the Spelling Bee, the teacher is played by Emma Roy and the young contestant is played by Everett Eken.

Crew members are Nathan Utecht, Joey Kuechle, Nick Block, Jasmine Miller, Raven Koltes, Eryn Eken, Emily Sieben, Kaitlyn Gruber, Dyani Acosta and Brooke Geislinger.
