The Eden Valley-Watkins Community Education Marching Eagles attended Valleyfair Monday, June 24. They were able to march around the park at 10:30 a.m. and then spent the rest of the day playing in the park. Many groups went on the fun rides while others stayed in the water park. The brief rain shower did NOT slow this group down.
There are currently 54 students who participate in the Marching Eagles. They learned “Old Time Rock and Roll” and have worked hard on learning to march and play this summer.
Their first experience this summer was Friday evening during the Valley Daze events. The brief Kiddie Parade was a great start for this group to practice their performance.
Please come to Kraut N’ Wurst which will be their next and final performance for the summer. The Kraut N’ Wurst parade takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, in downtown Watkins.
Many thanks to all of our sponsors who help make it possible for this group to exist. We appreciate your support!
