The four kindergarten classes at Eden Valley-Watkins Schools performed their annual Music Program Monday evening, May 6, at the Watkins Elementary School. This year's program was "By the Beautiful Sea." Students performed 19 songs, some with props and others with actions, for an enthralled audience of parents and grandparents.
Watkins Ambulance members Pam Loch and Jack Gruenes brought the ambulance to Watkins Elementary School Wednesday morning, May 13, to show kindergartners how it worked, both inside and out. May 12. Above, postmaster Janice Sheets explains the process of receiving, sorting, and delivering mail to the students. “That’s a lotta mail!” was exclaimed more than once. Come one, come all, to the EV-W Spring ExtravaBANDza at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 20, in the old high school gym. Come hear the fifth- and sixth-grade bands perform their concert pieces. Be amazed by the Junior Band as they play their selections, and tap your toes along with the Jazz Ensemble and Senior Band. Then enjoy “Attack of the Slide Trombones” as it is performed by every EV-W band student in a Mass-Band selection at the end of the concert. A good time will be had by all!
Eden Valley-Watkins Girl Scouts will be holding their annual year-end award ceremonies starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the Eden Valley Event Center. Area residents are invited to join us as we recognize our Scouts for their achievements of this past year.
All currently registered Girl Scouts and their families are encouraged to attend.
