By Maxine Doran, Staff writerThe Kimball Elementary grades Kindergarten through third presented “An Old Fashioned Holiday Program”, directed by Mrs. Arlene Sands Tuesday, Dec. 18.The opening song was “Seasons Greetings” done by grades K-3. Leaders were Ellie Wicker, Abigail Eich, Melodie Albert, Tevin Markwardt, Austin Decknatel, and Jazmine Gonzales.

The KES gym was very very packed with family and friends to enjoy what these young students wanted to share for the holiday time. The Kindergarten classes presented six joyful pieces: “Time for Music” “Ring, Ring, Ring the Bells,” “The Little Bells of Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” “Jolly Old St. Nicholas,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” First graders presented “Up on the Housetop,” followed by soloists Madison Mueller and Kendall Theisen singing “Two Front Teeth”. Their final piece was “Must Be Santa.” Second graders had several soloists. “Jingle Bells,” a piano solo was played by Izaak Theis, followed by “Chipmunk Song.” Hula Hoopers performing were Hayley Bruss, Jenna Christensen, Ashley Beehler, and Olivia Mortenson. Speakers Kylie Kesanen, Jayden Hamacher, Evan Powell, and Morgan Streit were featured in “Rudolf, the Red-Nosed Reindeer” with soloist Ellie Kuechle. Second-graders followed with “Frosty the Snowman” with soloists Hallie Arnold and Andrew Mehr. “Santa Claus is Coming to Town was the second-graders final number with soloist Lindsey Rhodes. Grade 3 singers presented “Old Toy Trains,” followed by a piece that had accompaniment of trumpet from Zach Schiefelbein and De Andre Borge. “Winter Wonderland” featured soloist Anna Winter, followed by “Nuttin for Christmas” with Tevin Markwardt doing the solo part. Their last piece was “12 Days of Christmas.” The last two pieces of the concert were written by Arlene Sands. “Christmas Day is Finally Here,” written in 2012, was done by grades K-3 was led by Ellie Kuechle and Jayme Randall. “Christmas Time All Year,” written in 1992 and a favorite of the audience, was presented by grades K-3.
