Seventh-graders selected for Honor Choir

Three EV-W seventh-graders have been selected to perform with the American Choral Directors' Association seventh-and eighth-grade Honors Choir.


Book Fair coming to EV-W High School

Be sure to mark the dates Nov. 13-15 on the calendar for EV-W High School's annual Scholastic Book Fair. The Book Fair has become a tradition that has given EV-W students a chance to participate in the improvement of of the high school media center. From set up to choosing the books for the library, media center staff rely on student input. Scholastic allows the school to keep 40 percent of the sales to buy books for the library. Important Post Office town meeting

More changes are coming for post offices in Minnesota, necessitated by continued economic woes of the U.S. Post Office itself.

A meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Eden Valley Civic Center about possible changes at the Eden Valley Post Office. Hours of operation could be shortened to 6 per day, or 4, or even 2.


A quirky life

My life has always had undertones of goofiness. Orderly and predictable are not words to describe my comings and goings. Fifty percent of this relates my being a little haphazard. Another fifty percent is because I'm absentminded; the final fifty percent comes down to the karma of the cosmos (and the fact that I stink at math).

I believe I was born sort of kind of next to some type of black hole of illogical logic. I don't think I'm alone in this predicament. (All those who may be holed up with me feel free to applaud now.)
